Аннотация:We fabricated catalytic layers for a low-temperature fuel cell (FC) with a variable loading of nano-sized platinum (catalyst 40% Pt/C) by various methods. Membrane–electrode assemblies with prepared catalytic electrodes were obtained and tested in the operating mode of a hydrogen–air fuel cell. The maximum useful use of platinum in fuel cells can be obtained with a loading of 0.2 mg/cm2. By constructing a mathematical model, we determined the effect of the main characteristics of the cathode catalytic layer on the current–voltage curves of the fuel cell.
