Аннотация:Experimental data on the capacitance of the electrical double layer on mercury, gallium, and the In-Ga and Tl-Ga alloy electrodes for surface-inactive electrolytes in aqueous, acetonitrile (AN), dimethylformamide (DMF), and dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) solutions were analyzed within the scope of the Amokrane-Badiali model. This model was shown to be valid for the systems with weak metal-solvent donor-acceptor interaction (e.g., Hg and n-Ga in all the above solvents; Ga and In-Ga in AN). In the case of nonnegligible interaction (Ga and In-Ga in water, DMF, and DMSO), the ''metal'' component of the compact layer capacitance depends not only on the metal, but on the solvent as well. This dependence correlates in its strength with the data on haloid anions and simple organic molecules adsorption on the listed interfaces.
