Аннотация:The adsorption of the metalloarene cations, bis(benzene)chromium and bis(biphenyl)chromium, was studied in the presence of sulfate and iodide as the anions at the solution/mercury interface by measuring electrocapillary curves, and at the solution/air interface by measuring the maximum pressure in air bubbles. Adsorbability of the metalloarene cations on mercury was found to arise as a result of complex combination of a number of factors: their positive charge, the expulsion effect, the pi -electron effect, the presence of an unpaired electron, and also the influence of the base-electrolyte anions.
