Аннотация:The article describes the results of an experiment on determination of the time resolution of the ”AGAT-VUF” X-ray streak camera. The camera had a open time-analyzing electron- optical transducer with removable photocathodes (1000 angstrom) CsI films deposited upon 2000 angstrom-thick polystyrene substrate). In the experiments, we used X-rays from a laser plasma produced by a 500 fsec ultraviolet (308 nm) laser pulse with an energy of 10 mJ. The detected X-ray pulses were shorter than 10 psec with a minimum duration of 5.5 psec, which only slightly exceeded the calculated time resolution of the device 3.5 psec).
