Аннотация доклада:
Liver cancer remains the fifth most common malignancy in men and the eighth in women worldwide. The number of new cases is estimated to be 564,000 in 2004 and 782,000 in 2012. The most frequent liver cancer is hepatocellular carcinoma, a cancer formed by liver cells, known as hepatocytes. Often liver cancer is secondary, caused by metastasis A promising concept of cancer treatment is targeted drug delivery, which includes creation of non-toxic container, targeted distribution of it and using specific release mechanism. Every step represent a problem to be solved. The human asialoglycoprotein receptor (ASGPR) is an integral membrane protein and is responsible for the clearance of desialylated, galactoseterminal glycoproteins from the circulation by receptor-mediated endocytosis. This mechanism could be used for targeted drug delivery using small ligands as homing devices.
