  In 2022, Bled will host a major international scientific event: the 21st International Conference on Photoacoustic and Photothermal Phenomena The time and place of the conference — 19 to 24 June 2022, Rikli Balance Hotel, Bled. The international community of photoacoustic and photoacoustic spectroscopy connects people of various specialities and branches of science. Photothermics and photoacoustics unite the fields of laser physics, thermophysics, bio- and nanophotonics, materials science, laser medicine, theranostics, analytical and physical chemistry, thermal analysis, and non-destructive testing and evaluation. The ICPPP conference series is the major meeting place for many members of the research community working in the field of photoacoustic and photothermal phenomena—scientists, technology developers, and practitioners. These conferences are traditionally the most relevant forum for specialists in these fields. In addition, the ICPPP has developed into a scientific and educational platform for researchers and practitioners in related fields and includes schools for young scientists in various branches. At ICPPP21, the program of the event has been expanded in comparison with previous conferences in the series to attract researchers from various specialties. This year the program will include all the traditional topics of the conferences of this series as well as a wider representation of interdisciplinary topics, especially in the field of materials science and biomedicine. Both fundamental and applied research are welcome. The expected number of participants is 250–300 specialists from all over the world. Among the speakers at the Conference will be the leading experts in the field of photonics, theranostics, materials science, and laser spectroscopy. Within the framework of the conference, we plan to exhibit equipment in the field of photoacoustics, laser equipment, IR spectroscopy, and thermal analysis.
