A range of problems associated with the interpretation of geophysical fields temporal variations as a non-linear response of a descrete fractal geophysical medium to small variations of its state parameters and weak external effects at the background of permanent tectonic pressure are discussed in the book. Such understanding of temporal variations allows to relate this problem to the description of the behavior of unbalanced dissipative dynamic systems in terms of determinate chaos. A Possibility of application of such an approach in geophysics is discussed. Issues on fractal structure of a real geophysical medium and self-similarity of a seismotectonic process taking place in it are considered The results obtained by the authors in the theoretical, model and natural studies of the determinate chaos manifestation in geophysical medium obtained are given The book may be of interest to specialists in the field of Earth sciences, dealing with problems of interpretation of experimental observations data at geophysical test sites and laboratory experiments data on rocks destruction
