- Аннотация: To test the procedure of determining the thickness of a deformed layer obtained in contact with a rough deforming tool, electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) analysis and kinetic indentation are used. The material of the study is an aluminum deformable alloy of the Al-Mg system. Both methods (kinetic indentation and EBSD analysis) have shown the presence of a deformed layer near the contact surface, and the quantitative evaluations of the layer thickness that were obtained by these methods prove to be similar.
