Аннотация:The purpose of this article is to research some pragmaphonetic constituent elements
of the academic genre of oral scientific discourse (lecture) in German. On the basis of
an experiment, relevant prosodic features of speech production and speech perception
processes are determined with reference to spoken German scientific discourse
considering the correlation between its structural composition and semantics. There
are measurable acoustic and auditory differences between the phonoitems occurring
in lectures and the prosodic structure of the given oral academic genre. The prosody
has an important discourse organizing function in this genre.
