Аннотация:A model of intraparticle-diffusion ion exchange in a grain of a selective ion exchanger is constructed using the phenomenological method of nonequilibrium thermodynamics in which the fluxes of ions in material-balance equations are described by Nernst-Plank equations. It is assumed that both free counterions and counterions bound with fixed groups can take part in ion exchange. Numerical solutions of the equations of the model for various combinations of selectivity factors (KRA/KRB) and diffusion factors (DA/DB) are represented in the pseudo-three-dimensional space {concentration-radius-time}. It is shown that the difference between the profiles of concentration waves in a sorbent grain for the forward and the reverse ion exchange is caused by the combined action of the diffusion and selectivity factors.
