Аннотация: A comprehensive study of personal development and self-determination of ninth-eleventh grade students was experimentally conducted by revealing correlation of learning motivation character, self-attitude, temporal perspective and value-semantic orientation (taking into account consistency and availability of the values). A specific correlation was found out between the system of motivational-emotional attitudes and values of teenagers and the parameters of self-attitude and future perspective. It was shown that the relevance and accessibility of the studied groups of values is largely determined by the dominant motivation. The degree of difference between valuable and affordable, between “I want” and “I can,” is associated with self-estimation of one’s capabilities and attitude towards oneself. It was shown vision of the future, as well as the attitude to values among the older teenagers has their own specifics depending on the type of dominant motivation. Besides, there were also revealed some gender features of value orientations, related to the outstripping development of girls, as compared to boys of the same age. Overall description of the chosen groups of students is given.
