Аннотация:The processes of immobilization and aggregation of a cyanine dye, the pyridinium salt of betaine 3.3'-di(gamma-sulfopropyl)-4,5,4',5'-dibenzo-9-ethylthiacarbocyanine, in the matrix of a diallyldimethylammonium chloride-based polycationic gel were studied in aqueous and aqueous-organic media. It was shown that the dye is effectively absorbed by the gel in all systems. Dye molecules immobilized in the polyelectrolyte gel both occur as sinole molecules and produce J-agaregates. An increase in the number ofcharge units ofthe polymer chain stimulated the formation of J-aggregates of dye molecules. The aggregation number of J-aggregates was found to be concentration-dependent. It was shown that a decrease in the solvent permittivity led to the appearance of a dimer absorption band. The molecular state of the dye in aqueous solution in the presence of a linear cationic polymer was analyzed. It was shown that the addition of the linear polymer to aqueous dye solutions increased the proportion of J-aggregates. However, the dimers were also observed under these conditions, unlike in the case of dye immobilization in the hydrogel.
