Аннотация:Turbulent flows of a viscous incompressible fluid in a layer between counterrotating
concentric spheres under the action of the modulation of the velocity of the inner
sphere have been studied numerically. The obtained solutions revealed temporal
alternation of the laminar and chaotic flow states occupying the entire spatial region of
the flow in the spherical layer. Factors responsible for the transition to chaos and the
appearance of intermittency during this transition were established.
