Аннотация:In this chapter results of last researches of Ball Lightning (BL) are presented. Work on BL studying goes in three directions: gathering and observation data on BL processing; the analysis of BL influence results on various objects and modeling of this influence, and also creation and development of BL models. In the chapter these three specified directions have been presented. We have presented descriptions of 46 cases of BL affecting of people and have determined, that the mane affecting factors are an electric current which is passing over a body of a victim, and the high-frequency radio irradiation acting on tissues of the victim at close contact with BL. 50 cases of BL occurrence inside and near airplanes that have allowed to draw conclusions that BL can be formed at high altitudes and are capable to get into planes through existing apertures or the apertures made by the BL. Results of round apertures in glasses formation under action of BL are investigated, experimental modeling of this influence has been lead. The case of element structure change of a glass to which the BL impacted has been revealed. Processing of photo- and video data on which traces of natural BL are fixed has been made. On the basis of this work have been drawn conclusions, that BL possesses an uncompensated electric charge, and the leaking of this charge off leads in some cases to occurrence of a corona-type discharge around BL. A theoretical and experimental analysis of a new BL model has been made. According to it an oxidation of a fine disperse silicon which is being inside of the cover of the silicon oxide takes place. It is shown, that such a system can explain long existence and BL high energy density. Results of experiments on creations of long-lived fiery spheres are described at the erosive capillary discharge at high pressures in which occurrence of exploding balls is shown. A computer modeling of the “Gatchina” discharge – the discharge above a surface of water has been made. It is shown that in this discharge rising of heated air’s vortex takes place. Probably, to progress in the BL nature understanding prevents our insufficient understanding of the electric phenomena. In this connection a development of some positions of an electricity theory on a basis of the classical hydrodynamic approach, stated in the final paragraph of the chapter is of interest.
