Аннотация:Abstract—The conducted studies of Paleoproterozoic ferruginous quartzites from the Kursk block of the Voronezh crystalline massif have made it possible to establish their key petromagnetic properties. Magnitudes of magnetic susceptibility (0.32‒1.45 SI units) are typical for such formations, but the revealed abnormally high values of natural remanent magnetization (up to 2600 A/m) distinguish the rocks of the region at the global level. Single-domain magnetite with a low titanium content (Tc = 566.9 and 568.4°C) is found to occur, the presence of which, together with a high coercive force of the studied samples, contributes to the conser- vation of the natural remanent magnetization vector. The presented materials on anomalous values of rema- nent magnetization can be taken as an upper limit for the desired solutions to the inverse problem of magne- tometry, which takes into account inductive/remanent magnetization and the demagnetization effect.
