Аннотация:Molecular brushes or polymacromonomers carrying a latent functional group at each backbone repeat unit were synthesized by the hydrolytic polycondensation of vinyldichlorosilyl end groups of polydimethylsiloxane macromonomers. It was shown that a series of polymer-analogous transformations involving these groups allows synthesis of amphiphilic dimethylsiloxane polymacromonomers with a hydrophilized backbone. The resulting hydroxyl-terminated polymacromonomers form stable monolayers at the water-air interface that demonstrate the ability to undergo sequential transitions to states with different organization levels. A dimethylsiloxane molecular brush with a hydrophilized backbone was used for the effective modification of the silica surface and production of a monomolecular indelible hydrophobic coating.
