Аннотация:In recent years considerable attention has been focused on composite polymer-carbon nanotubes (CNT) materials combining unique properties of both components. In particular, some polymers can be used for the formation of the CNT stable dispersion in aqueous media. The ability to use external stimuli, such as temperature, pH and ionic strength, to control the state of CNT dispersion could significantly extend the functionality of such systems, especially in the fields of biomedicine and sensor technologies. In the present work an aqueous dispersion of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) non-covalently modified with thermosensitive polymer poly(N-vinylcaprolactam) was prepared and its behavior under different external stimuli was studied. The influence of salt addition and pH of the medium on the thermoresponsive behaviour of MWCNT dispersion as well as on the cloud-point temperature (CPT) of the polymer solution was analyzed. DLS and TEM techniques were used during the study. It was found that the salt effect on the dispersion aggregation temperature and the polymer CPT nicely follows the Hofmeister series.
