Аннотация:Ozonation of wood results in oxidative destruction of lignin and polysaccharides. Lignin degrades first of all followed by hemicelluloses. Cellulose, characterized by the most resistant structure, is also subject to transformations.
- Diffusion is a governing factor of ozone consumption as well as of wood structural components decomposition.
-The moisture content of 55% corresponds to the most effective ozonation process accompanied by the most prominent wood structure transformation. The variation of moisture content allows controlling the yield and properties of the cellulose obtained from the wood treated with ozone.
