Аннотация:The authors consider the signifcance of businesses’ ecological responsibility as a manifestation of social commitment, closely intertwined with the economic impactas an existential category of activity and the possibilities of the entrepreneurial community. They stress thenecessity of maintaining homeostasis—the factor ofcivilization’s characteristic constancy, primarily in ecological terms. The authors substantiated the importanceof business responsibility in addressing socially signifcant elements of the architecture of today’s society,closely linked to the ecologization of the existing problem feld. The corporate and regional segments of socialresponsibility are presented within the realm of potential manifestations of economic effciency. The need forsocio-public control is proclaimed as an instrument ofdisciplining infuence and preventing the likelihood ofattaining commercial windfalls under eventual conditions of demand for antisocial products and services. Inthe context of socially signifcant endeavors, productionactivity is characterized by a directed agenda, implying the production of environmentally friendly products based on consumer demand while minimizing the likelihood of satisfying requests for antisocial elementsin socially alienated goods and services. The fuidity ofalienation criteria is acknowledged, contingent upon thenational-cultural traditions of different countries. Theresearch concludes with the assertion of a close correlation between aspects of civilization development and theeconomic effciency of entrepreneurship, depending onfactors of social origin, the potential of which is necessary in the concept of preserving homeostasis of civilizational development.
