Аннотация:Laccase from the fungus Coriolus hirsutus (Fr.) Quel was isolated and characterized. The molecular mass of the enzyme was 55 kD, pI = 4.5. The pH optimum for the enzyme activity is at pH 3.5-4.5. The values of catalytic and Michaelis constants for several substrates (hydroquinone, pyrocatechol, potassium ferrocyanide) were determined. It was found that the kinetic mechanism of laccase action is of the "ping pong" type. Laccase from C. hirsutus was shown to catalyze the electroreduction of O2 to H2O with a direct electron transfer from the enzyme active center to the electrode.
