Аннотация:There is an increasing interesting of hydrogen fuel cell usage as alternative energy sources in transport, stationary heat and energy-plants, and other applications. The mathematical description of electrochemical processes occurring in hydrogen fuel cells is examined. The dynamic model presented is a system of differential equations based on physical and electrochemical phenomena occurring in the sections of membrane electrode assembly: anode catalyst layer, proton exchange membrane, and cathode catalyst layer. The hydrogen mass transfer equation includes adsorption and desorption on platinum catalyst reaction sites and diffusion.
