Аннотация:The Coakley “q–ω” and Chien “k–ε” low-Reynolds differential models are used together with the two-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) equations to interpret experimental data on heating and friction on the surface of a sharp plate in the turbulent boundary layer. The problems of choosing the boundary of the turbulent boundary layer and the specifics of the numerical integration of the RANS-model equations at a vanishingly low level of turbulent pulsations in the freestream gas flow are analyzed.
