- Аннотация: The pa per presents the re sults of a com pre hen sive anal y sis of the sit u a tion with floods (river floods, dur ing storm surges, and mixed-type ones) and dan ger ous shallowing at the Don River mouth reach. Cases of these hy dro log i cal haz ards, their re turn pe ri ods, and con nec tion with chang ing hydro -meteorological conditions and large-scale water management activities are analyzed. Some of the most severe floods are de scribed in de tail; ap prox i mate bound aries of the flood zones are given. Em pir i cal relation ships be tween the main flood pa ram e ters and hy dro log i cal con di tions are presented.
