Аннотация: The authors describe the principal results of detailed investigations of the transport properties and structure of edge-type Nb-alpha Si-Nb Josephson junctions. They show that the junction conductivity, notwithstanding it anomalously low value, is direct (nontunneling) and has a most unusual (nonmonotonic) dependence on the interlayer thickness. These features can be attributed to the resonant nature of the current passing through interlayers having abrupt plane-parallel boundaries.
