Аннотация:We present a review of main properties of the turbulence in the plasma sheet including the eddy diffusion, energy transport, intermittency, and the infuence of the bursty bulk flow events. These studies have been done using the THEMIS satellite ESA, SST and FGM data. It was found that the properties of the turbulence are strongly dependent on the location within the plasma sheet and less on the geomagnetic conditions. Even during quiet geomagnetic conditions plasma in the plasma sheet is strongly turbulent. The level of turbulence increases to the tail and intensifies during geomagnetic substorms, especially during the expantion phase. Study of spatial distribution of the BBFs in the inner and outer plasma sheet for quiet and disturbed geomagnetic conditions also showed that BBFs could be an inherent component of the intermittent turbulent cascade in the central plasma sheet.
