Аннотация:Nowadays for a wide range of geological and paleo ecological tasks methods of cyclostratigraphy are applied. These methods, which are described in many recent papers, combined with the complex of lithological studies allow to reconstruct environment in the past. For the first time the astronomically-tuned cyclicity was determined using cyclostratigraphy methods in Maeotian sediments of the Eastern Paratethys (Zhelezniy Rog section,Taman region). As a result of the spectral analysis of the magnetic susceptibility data, according to the peak amounts of Lomb-Scargle and REDFIT peridiograms, cyclicities related to solar forcing (precession and obliquity) were detected. These cycles are comparable with the period of oscillations of the Earth's axis angle to the plane of its orbit which corresponds to 41 000 years. Our results confirm the idea of the duration of Late Maeotian not exceeding 700 k.y. and its correlation with the most considerable part of the chron C3An.
