Аннотация:We report the design and properties of a novel class of catalysts based on Pd nanoparticles encapsulated in a chiral crystalline organic salt (CPOS) matrix by mixing a tetrasodium salt of tetrakis(4-sulfophenyl)methane (TSPM) and a tetra trifluoroacetate of tetrakis-(S)-prolinamide of tetrakis(4-aminophenyl) methane, in water at room temperature under a hydrogen atmosphere and at RT. The catalyst was more active and selective than Pd/C in many reduction reactions, including the hydrogenation of p-nitrobenzaldehyde slowing the reduction at a stage of p-aminobenzyl alcohol whereas Pd/C brought the reduction further to toluidine.
