Аннотация:An intensive search for an optimal shape of ferromagnetic particles for use in promising storage devices with a recording density of 1 Tbit/cm 2 and higher is being conducted at present. Conical, elliptic, and cylindrical particles exhibit a high remanent magnetization because of the anisotropy of their shape. However, the manufacture of a medium with such a profile is based on an expensive procedure, while spherical particles, as information carriers, can easily be produced by chemical reactions, with a subsequent self-structuring in a square or hexagonal lattice. This has motivated further studies of the micromagnetic configurations occurring in spherical particles with a size of 100 nm and smaller.
