- Аннотация: We have analyzed different theoretical approaches to the concept of personal meaning and its transformation in a crisis situation, empirically investigated connection between meaning transformation and human activity, including activity of concern. The purpose of this study was to examine ways and results of the personal meaning transformation of people with different structures of meaning sphere in various kinds of crisis situations. The notion of meaning traditionally attracts attention of people. The activity-notional psycho-transformative approach is a modern approach to the concept of personal meaning. The relationships between personal meaning, its transformation, and human activities are considered under this approach. The objects of our study are the features of the personal meaning transformation in crisis situation. The subject of the research is the nature of the meaning transformation in various crisis situations. On the basis of qualitative and quantitative methods we have proved the relationship between the personal meaning transformation and behavior orientation to success or failure. The meaning transformation has been considered in terms of two factors: L-and D-meanings. In the second part of the study, we have demonstrated the relationship between the nature of the meaning transformation in a crisis situation and person's involvement in the activity of concern. Our empirical data has proved the prospects of the further research in this direction. Our study makes a contribution to the further theoretical and methodological understanding of the personal meaning transformation in a crisis situation and to the development of psychological assistance to people in crisis situations.
