Global transition to sustainable development (SD) and noospherogenesis (establishment of the sphere of mind), as the former’s natural continuation, should be rated as the most critical socio-natural global processes of the future that can be even now explored by futuroglobalistics. SD represents a future global evolutionary process aimed to preserve the civilisation and the biosphere. Transition to this type of global evolution changes considerably the nature of any anthropogenic activity because it is necessary to act in a manner allowing the implementation of global biospheric imperatives of transition to SD and ensuring that the potential for meeting the vital and reasonable needs of present-day and future generations of people is not impaired. Environmentally, the process of transition to sustainable development seeks to reduce the anthropogenic load on the biosphere to the level allowing the “sustainable civilisation” to fit into the stable biosphere, adapt to its cycles and processes and only use hundredths of its bioproducts, mainly renewable resources, without loss of biodiversity. This is a kind of an anthropogeological evolutionary process aiming to establish and preserve a global socio-natural system with sustainable development.
