Аннотация:An ecological and hydrological approach based on the analysis of thewater regime and plant productivity on gray soils of varying degrees ofhydromorphism has been tested. The data were obtained as a result of long-termstationary studies of each soil group: from microhighs to microlows. It is shownthat diagnostic signs of the degree of soil hydromorphism, such asmorphochromatic signs of soils, physical and chemical properties of soils, aredynamic over the years and during the growing season. The composition andproperties of nodules, in particular, the values of the bogging coefficient(Fe/Mn), regardless of the availability of precipitation in the year and the natureof the use of these soils for 30 years, reliably diagnose the degree of bogging ofthese soils even at the level of species differences (deep gley, gley, gley soils)and assess the feasibility of their drainage. On drained soils, the parameter weproposed adequately reflects the new hydrological conditions - "carbon contentin ferruginous-manganese nodules", which gives a real assessment of the effectof drainage systems and the need for their ameliorative reconstruction.
