Аннотация:The contact of crown ether/ionic liquid extractants withnitric acid solutions results in macrocycle protonation, whichcomplicates the radiolysis mechanism and increases theradiation destruction of the system. This trend is caused bythe scavenging of secondary electrons by H3O+ ions at theearly stages of the process. The revealed channel of theradiation-chemical transformations was not taken intoaccount in the previous models of testing the radiationresistance of crown-containing compositions designed for90Sr removal from radioactive wastes.
