Аннотация:
The parametric excitation of standing spatial waves at the interface of a viscous two-layered heavy fluid which completely fills a vessel of arbitrary shape that executes vertical oscillations is studied. The viscosity of the fluid is assumed to be low, which enables one to use ideas from boundary-layer theory and the Krylov-Bogolyubov method of averaging to be used. Approximate formulae are derived for the quantities which determine the conditions of the parametric excitation of the oscillations of the fluid, that is, the threshold amplitude of the oscillations of the vessel and the boundaries of the resonant zones. These quantities depend on the energy loss in the boundary layers both close to the walls of the vessel as well as close to the boundary of separation of the double layer fluid. General formulae are specified for vessels in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped and a circular cylinder. © 1993.
