Аннотация:The experience of digital devices use in preschool age is associated with at least two layers of child interaction, i.e. with close and social adults. A series of studies were carried out to identify the context of digitalisation in preschool childhood. The digital educational environment characteristics were analysed through the study of the ICT implementation experience of preschool educators. Multidirectional trends in the teachers' attitudes were emphasised. Therefore, along with concerns about the negative impact on the health and psyche of a child, as well as replacing real communication with interaction with electronic devices, teachers noted that the use of ICT allows for improving the presentation of material and facilitating its understanding by preschoolers, and at the same time contributes to the new skills development. These results are consistent with our study on the ef ect of passive and active screen time on the development of phonemic awareness in preschool children. It was shown that passive screen time is a significant predictor of the level of development of phonemic awareness, in particular, when controlling the factor of the mother's level of education.
