Аннотация:The global system of international interaction, cultural and scientific ex-change imposes increased requirements for the development of professional competence. At the same time, mastering a foreign language system be-comes not only a condition for communication, but also a significant tool to disclose and express meanings, concepts and understand the essence of professional and scientific activities. The development of modern world is characterized by two contradictory trends: globalization, leading to the unifica-tion of cultures, on the one hand, and the search for ethnocultural self-identity, on the other. The task of developing a new type of linguistic person-ality is becoming an urgent issue of modern education. A polycultural linguis-tic personality is interpreted as a polylingual individual, who captures the simi-larities and differences of conceptual systems in various linguistic cultures and carries out intercultural interaction in a foreign language in accordance with the parameters of these systems.
