Аннотация:High-frequency structures are favorable in structure wake-field acceleration for their strong beam-structure interaction.Recent progress of advanced fabrication technologies, suchas high-precision two-half milling and additive machining,has enabled experimental research of mm-wave/THz struc-tures. In this work, we have designed a pair of 182 GHz two-half copper power extractor and accelerator for short pulseRF breakdown study. When driven by a 182 GHz 4-bunchtrain with 4 nC total charge and 0.3 mm rms bunch length,the power extractor will generate 0.4 ns∼8 MW RF pulsesand the corresponding gradient in the single-cell acceler-ator will reach∼460 MV/m. RF and mechanical designof the proof-of-concept structures will be reported in thismanuscript.
