Аннотация:We have calculated the contribution of the K_alpha line of weakly-ionized iron to the X-ray spectrum of SS 433 under the assumption that it arises during the reflection of hard X-ray continuum photons from the surface of the normal star. We assume that the primary X-ray radiation is produced during shock interactions of the stellar winds from the binary components. Calculations were performed for shock-front velocities from 1000 to 3000 km/s. The theoretical flux in the weakly-ionized iron K_alpha line depends on the velocity of the stellar-wind gas flowing into the shock front. This flux is in agreement with the observations for velocities of 1000-1500 km/s. We conclude that X-ray radiation reflected from the normal star should be taken into account when calculating the flux of the weakly-ionized iron K_alpha line in SS 433.
