Аннотация:Parallel (L||) and perpendicular (Lp) magnetostriction under an applied magnetic field and thermal expansion deltal/l vere studied on La(1-x)SrxMnO3 single crystal with x = 0.1 and 0.3. For conducting sample with x = 0.3, the volume magnetostriction (omega = L|| + 2Lp) is negative and the |omega|(T) curves go through maximum near of Curie point Tc. deltal/l exceeds linear thermal expansion. For semiconductor sample with x=0.1, omega is negative at T < Tc and |omega| strives to zero at T~Tc. Behavior of omega and deltal/l are explained by a magnetic two-phase state.
