Аннотация:Geomagnetic disturbances which arise upon the propagation of an acoustic N-wave in the gyrotropic E layer of the ionosphere with a horizontal geomagnetic field are investigated. The solution of the problem obtained by the method of Laplace and Fourier transformations consists of terms which describe the influence of the source function and eigen modes of geomagnetic oscillations. The resulting electromagnetic response of the ionosphere is two alternating signals of opposite polarities which correspond to the entrance and exit of an N-wave from a conducting region.
