Аннотация:The assessment of residual strength of composite structures with barely visible impact damage (BVID, VID) is a vital problem for aircraft industry due certification requirements for thin laminates [1,2]. The problem is that methods used for engineering applications cannot give a reliable prediction of the damaging of the thin laminate composite material due to the low velocity impact. Moreover, experiments repeated multiple times can show different types of matrix damage distribution and delamination area form.
