Аннотация:Development of metal based drugs occupies a special place in modern medicinal chemistry. The
main task is to find the approaches to reduce the secondary toxic effects of gold compounds. The in vivo toxicity of polyfunctional molecule combining both antioxidant protective 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol fragment and gold thiolate complex with Au-S bond AuPPh3SR (R = 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) and its precursors RSH and AuPPh3Cl on the adult male rats was investigated.
The hematological and biochemical parameters of blood, integral characteristics, symptoms of
intoxication, and lipid peroxidation in tissues homogenates of rats were studied. The changes of hematological parameters in leukocyte cell populations of blood which provide protection functions in organism were observed for the experimental group of animals. The decrease of lipid peroxidation level in rats’ organs for the experimental groups of animals was found to be significantly lower than that for the control group. This fact might be associated with the antioxidant effect of the phenol group in the compounds under investigation.
