[1] Optical parametric oscillator on the periodically poled mgo:ln crystal generating 70 mw with 4.1 mkm wavelength and varied pulse duration / M. S. Andreeva, N. P. Andreeva, M. S. Barashkov et al. // Современные нанотехнологии (International Workshop “Modern Nanotechnologies” - IWMN-2015). — Уральский федеральный университет Екатеринбург, 2015. The optical parametric oscillator (OPO) generating at 4.1 m based on the periodically poled MgO doped congruent lithium niobate (MgOLN) single crystal was produced and tested. The MgOLN 3-inch-wafers with thickness 2 mm were obtained from Yamaju Ceramics, Japan. The Z+ polar surface of the wafer was covered by periodical 80-nm-thick Cr electrodes created using photolithography, while the whole Z- surface was covered by 100-nm-thick Cr layer. The multi-pulse periodical poling technique at elevated temperature was used for creation of the stable precise periodical domain structure with period 28.48 m. The elements with dimensions 20x3x2 mm3 have been produced by wafer cutting and polishing. The Nd:YAG laser with repetition rate 10 KHz and pulse duration from 10 to 40 ns was used as a pumping source. The beam polarization matched the e–ee interaction in PPMgOLN. The single resonant scheme with two-mirror cavity was used for OPO realization. The average power of generated idler wavelength equal to 70 mW was achieved during pumping with 5 W average power and pulse duration 10 ns. The accompanying process of second harmonic (SH) generation of the signal wave was revealed. The wavelength of the SH wave was measured using the visible light spectrometer and used for the calculation of the idler wavelength. The temperature dependence of the generation wavelength was measured and analyzed. The produced OPO with wavelength 4.1 m and varied pulse duration can be used for development of the diagnostic equipment for wide applications in science and technology.
