Аннотация:This paper studies the problem of the longitudinal oscillations excited in a rod consisting of several segments made of materials with arbitrary densities and elasticities. The study is performed in terms of a generalized solution.
In [2, 3], this problem was studied under the additional assumption that all segments have the same impedance, and in [4, 5], a solution was obtained for the case where the wave travel time along each of the segments is the same. The case of two segments with arbitrary characteristics was considered in [6]. In this paper, we remove these restrictions and present an explicit solution of the mixed problem about the excitation of oscillations in a rod consisting of n arbitrary segments. Moreover, we claim that the obtained solution is unique.
