Аннотация:The results of a probe microscopy study of a substance surface with high spatial resolution are presented. In the experiments, the spatial resolution is 0.05 nin for a 50 x 50-mu m(2) observation area, and a vertical space shift of 2 nm has been obtained. Such a technique has been used to analyze the microscopic surface instabilities and structures that arise under laser radiation. The main problem facing the study is the long processing time needed to complete all analyses of the surface structure sample. In the case in which the sample is big enough (larger than the studied area), the problem of the composition of the scanning areas is encountered. We developed an optimization method for processing the data of scanning microscopy.
