Аннотация:Reviews available information on a new class of objects in the solar system - the Kuiper Belt. Photometric monitoring of the star fields at the intersection of the Milky Way and the ecliptic is proposed for the detection and investigation of Kuiper Belt objects from star occultations. For a 100-km body, a star eclipse will last about 20 s. In the event of clustering of such objects, the brightness weakening or disappearance of a star may last about 4.5 days.
