- Аннотация: Over 9 months in 2017/2016 the number of people affected by dangerous hydrological and geological phenomena amounted to more than 48,000 people. In total, from 1990 to 2013, there were 1,420 emergencies associated with mudflows and floods, accounting for 30 percent of the total number. Calculation of mudflows and floods was carried out on 2 objects by applying model of unsteady water movement, on the section of the river Ardon and the Shiroky Channel. As a result, the values of the main characteristics of water-rock-flows and flash floods on 2 objects were obtained, such as velocity, water- level and discharge. Besides, modeling was conducted for several variants with modifying the initial information and with a change in code of roughness. In addition, in this research the values of water velocities and discharges at which the flooding of the territory begins were calculated.
