Аннотация:The cell walls of two strains of Agromyces fucosus ssp. hippuratus, VKM Ac-1352(T) and VKM Ac-1353, contain a teichoic acid consisting of 1,5-poly(ribitol phosphate) with the tetrasaccharide alpha-L-Rhap-(1-->3)-alpha-L-Rhap-(1-->3)-beta-D-GlcpNAc-(1-->2)-alpha-L-Rhap-(1--> at the C-4(2) position of each ribitol phosphate residue. The teichoic acid chain has 12 or 13 repeating units. This structure has not been previously found in prokaryotic cells.
