Аннотация:Problems of comparison of ground-based forest inventory map and air-space data of high spectral and spatial resolution are urgent from the point of view of possible replacing the current laborious works of the forest inventory by the proposed imagery processing procedures. The comparison is based on the same test area, where satellite multi-spectral image of WorldView-2 and hyper-spectral airborne image of the domestic device AV-VD produced in Russia were processed together with the common-used forest inventory map. Original algorithmic and software tools of imagery processing are applied to recognize forest objects of different species and age on the test area. As a result, the priority of the hyper-spectral data processing is shown, in spite of the errors are very similar for both these remote sensing imagery processing using the same classifier.
