Аннотация:
Turbidimetric titration and rapid sedimentation were used to examine the formation of a water soluble polyelectrolyte complex (PEC) of non-equimolecular composition (PAN: ionene = 3:1). It was shown that on adding sodium polyacrylate to the solution of 5,6-ionene, PEC of equimolecular composition is first formed, which separates into a new phase and then, a water soluble complex of nonequilibrium composition. Molecular characteristics of water soluble PEC were examined by light scattering. It was shown that the molecular weight and dimensions of poly-complex particles are independent of the method of preparation and are 660,000±30,000 and 330±20 A ̊, respectively. A structural model is proposed of water-soluble PEC and the possible reaction mechanism of the formation of non-equimolecular PEC examined. © 1976.
