Аннотация:The interaction of hydrogels of acrylic acid-acrylamide copolymers with a cytochrome C protein in salt-free aqueous media was studied. It was shown that the incorporation of a significant amount of acrylamide units (up to 94 mol %) into a copolymer does not decrease the efficiency of cytochrome C sorption by an oppositely charged hydrogel and does not affect the number of charged acrylate groups in a network per protein molecule in a polycomplex. When the content of acrylate units in a network ranges from 14 to 20 mol %, an extremely nonuniform distribution of cytochrome C in the products of its incomplete reactions with the copolymer hydrogels changes to the uniform one. The character of protein transport in the gel phase and its distribution in the samples partially converted into polycomplex are controlled by the extent of network contraction resulting from its interaction with the oppositely charged protein.
